Torun Poland

Torun is one of the oldest cities in Poland, established in the 13th century. The Gothic Old Town is renowned for its impressive Town Hall on Rynek Staromiejski (Old Town Square) with its unique square tower. Near the entrance to the Town Hall is a monument dedicated to Torun's most famous resident, the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, who was born here in 1473. The city has approximately 210,000 residents and is one of the two administrative centers of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship.
