Rome: The Magic of the Eternal City

Arrive to the Italian Capital and reception in the airport. (Depending on the hour of arrival) Panoramic Tour in Grand Tourism Bus through the eternal city of Rome. Transfer to the hotel for accommodation and dinner.

After breakfast, full day visit of Rome. We will start by admiring the Trevi Fountain (made famous in the film “Dolce Vita” by Fellini), Chigi’s Palace, Colonna Square (with the column of the Emperor Marcus Aurelius), the Parliament, The Pantheon (built by the emperor Adrian in the 2nd Century A.C.) and Piazza Navonna. After lunch, we will do a panoramic stroll passing by Caelian Hill, with the marvelous view over the Coliseum and the Gladiator School, Palatine Hill, the archaeological remains of the emperors’' palaces, Mount Aventine, the Quirinal Palace (the biggest palace in Italy, the president's official residence) and the Esquiline on top of which one can admire the biggest of basilicas dedicated to Saint Mary Major. Return to the hotel for dinner and accommodation.

After breakfast, departure to Vatican City. Visit to Vatican Museums, acknowledged as mankind's unique heritage. The visit includes, among others, the beautiful the Gallery of Candelabrums, the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of Maps and the Gallery of the Immaculate Conception. We will continue with the infamous School of Athens (Raphael), most of which painted by the master between 1508 and 1520. We will finish the visit in the Sistine Chapel where we can admire the Genesis and the Last Judgement, Michelangelo's frescoes which after being fully restored, are back in all its splendor. After Lunch (not included), a visit to St. Peter's Basilica, the biggest basilica in the world and which area overcomes 15 000 square meters, as well as St. Peter's Square. Free time for shopping and at the end of the afternoon return to the Hotel for dinner and accommodation.

After breakfast, free time for last minute shopping until departure to the airport, to take flight back.
