In a grandiose natural cavity, in a space gained meter by meter from the cliff, the tijaraferos have managed to build one of their most emblematic nuclei. No description could do justice to its original architecture, which provokes the immediate amazement of visitors. It has great historical relevance, since the also called Prois is one of those typical piers in the north of the island. We continue our tour by visiting the Parish Church of Our Lady of Candelaria. The personality of the most important religious building in Tijarafe is marked by its belfry. The structure that supports its double bell tower is at the rear and was one of the last additions to the building, but it makes its silhouette unmistakable. That is why it is one of the most beloved symbols of the municipality. We will continue to the Barranco del Jurado. This natural trench separates the nucleus of El Pueblo de Tijarafe from the neighboring neighborhood of El Jesús. We start our adventure at the Mirador de Unamuno, where we stop for a moment to enjoy the incredible views of the mountainous landscape of Gran Canaria. The statue of Miguel de Unamuno invites us to reflect on the beauty of this place while we take some photos and let ourselves be amazed by the surroundings. From here, we walk calmly towards the Mirador de La Cilla, a simple and paved route that takes us no more than 15-20 minutes. Upon arrival, we are impressed with the panorama: we can see the majestic Roque Bentayga and Roque Nublo, two natural symbols of the island that seem to come to life in front of our eyes.
